Saudi teams in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and informatics are preparing to participate and represent Saudi Arabia in 5 international scientific Olympiads. Their events will be held in person and remotely during July and August. 
3 teams of them arrived in Budapest, Hungary yesterday to start the intensive two-week training in preparation for the International Olympiad, as the KSA, represented by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba" and the Ministry of Education, competes for the International Olympiad awards, as “Mawhiba" launched the first training camp to practically qualify and train team members, in preparation for winning awards and competing for the top places.
The training camp for the Saudi teams will be held in Hungary's top universities during the period from June 22 - 26, with the participation of 48 male and female students nominated to participate in the International Olympiad for physics, chemistry and biology, in addition to distinguished students of the third level for each discipline.
The physics team includes 12 male and female students. The chemistry team includes 14 male and female students. The biology team includes 12 male and female students. They are trained by an elite group of qualified international instructors experienced in the International Olympiads at a daily average of 8 training hours.
The camp includes practical training on the experiences of previous International Olympiads, theoretical lectures, in addition to training in finding solutions to advanced problems in the discipline of each Olympiad.
The areas of practical training for the biology team also include the subjects of the 2022 International Olympiad, including: biochemistry, bioinformatics, physiology, plant anatomy and animal physiology and anatomy. The practical training for the chemistry team includes the fields of physical chemistry and biochemistry.
The Budapest University of Technology and Economics hosts the practical training camp for the physics team. The training of the chemistry team will be held at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, while the practical training events for the biology team will be held at the premises of the Hungarian Society of Biology.
At the conclusion of the training camp, members of the Saudi teams of physics, chemistry and biology will be selected to participate in the International Chemistry Olympiad of 2022, which will be remotely held in China on July 10, the International Physics Olympiad of 2022, which will be remotely hosted by Switzerland from July 10-18, the International Biology Olympia of 2022, which will be held in person in Armenia from July 10-18, and the International Informatics Olympiad of 2022, which will be held in Indonesia from August 7-15.
This comes at a time when the International Mathematics Olympiad students completed their intensive training last week at KAUST University, in preparation for the International Olympiad competition on July 12, 2022. It is noteworthy that the Saudi gifted people raised the KSA's balance of awards in international competitions to 500 global awards in 20 competitions and international Olympiads during the period from 2010 to May 2022.
